SE Linux and SuSE: has anyone tried it?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Just wondering if anyone has installed SE Linux on SuSE. I'd love to hear anyone's experiences. Esp. how hard/easy it was to install/configure, anything special you had to do to get it working, and what you like/dislike about it now that you have it working. Wouldn't mind hearing people's opinions about it too, but please send opinions directly to me and not the list (to keep traffic down). Just wondering if anyone has installed SE Linux on SuSE. I've looked both at SE Linux and RSBAC (www.rsbac.org), and I found RSBAC more practical. I have used it for some time and it works fine. Before RSBAC I tried LIDS, but that had some limitations (or I just didn't figure it out :-). When I had some questions with RSBAC, there was very helpfull response from its maintainer.

Right now I posted the same question :) (I should check my inbox more frequently) I try to install SE Linux on Suse 7.3. Up to point 7 in the install readme everything works without a hitch. Building the included utils needs tweaking (config files, makefiles,...). I try to compile the necessary tools manual, install them and see if it works. Probably someone else on this list has managed to find out the necessary changes. Compared to LIDS and RSBAC the SELinux installation is a pain on a SuSE-distro. Mark
