Missing kernel source RPM for 8.1
I need to compile a new version of the e100 driver (for iANS/adapter teaming), but cannot find a source RPM or kernel headers of the shortly released kernel update. The version compiled for the previous kernel doesn't work (errors during loading/kernel panic on remove). I thought, that the new version has only minimal fixes and should not break existing modules compiled with the old headers. I'm using the k_smp package. rpm -qi k_<flavor> | grep Source And btw: http://www.suse.de/de/security/2003_21_kernel.html 'ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/8.1/kernel/2.4.19-20030324/kernel-source-2.4.19.SuSE-175.i586.rpm' -- Have fun, Peter

rpm -qi k_<flavor> | grep Source
And btw: http://www.suse.de/de/security/2003_21_kernel.html 'ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/8.1/kernel/2.4.19-20030324/kernel-source-2.4.19.SuSE-175.i586.rpm' This is way too old - I'm talking about 2.4.19-329 built on the 10th of July.

ack. Markus, we're currently fixing a minor glitch that appeared as a result of a security fix. It affects all 8.x kernels, and we hope it will be published this week. We have removed the kernel-source RPM packages from the ftp server at once shortly after we have discovered the oddity. Please give us a little bit of time. Roman.
