Hi all. During changing my password on SuSE 8.1 Pro, I've noticed line in the log (listed below): mar 7 17:48:06 server_name passwd[8936]: Unknown option: blowhish I think somebody made a little mistake in the word blowfish. -- ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dominik Sk?adanowski e-mail: dominik.skladanowski@ch.pw.edu.pl ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I think somebody made a little mistake in the word blowfish.
Looks like someone edited /etc/security/pam_unix2.conf - it has the following line (commented out by default): # password: nullok blowfish crypt_rounds=8 Looks like someone tried to enable blowfish encryption of passwords but mistyped the option. Only I use this server, there is no other users. I choose Blowfish algorithm to encrypt passwords. It looks like SuSE 8.1 had and still has this mistake. File /etc/security/pam_unix2.conf is OK. -- ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dominik Sk?adanowski e-mail: dominik.skladanowski@ch.pw.edu.pl ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
