Fred ____________________________ 4 February 2000 IETF Excludes Wiretapping The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) has voted against incorporating wiretapping capabilities into the next generation of Internet protocols. The IETF says that because it is an international standards organization, incorporating net wiretapping would subject the rest of the world to US law.
