What update source did you add (you did add an update source didn't you)? Updates have worked flawlessly for me on all 3 of my 64 bit installs, even during install.
Yes, but I am asking vis a vis the Security notice they sent out yesterday regarding several updates . All the 10.3 sources or sites said i586 .. there wasn't anything for 64bit athlons.. see quotation from that email below.
Looks further down, there are both "x86-64 Platform" and "Power PC Platform: " sections containing also openSUSE 10.3 references.
