Is there anybody who can help me, to solve this problems. identity.pub sounds like ssh-1. If you use protocol2, you need another key file. Try to do ssh -1 user@remotehost ^use protocol version 1 The other possibility is to change your /etc/ssh/ssh_config. Near the end of the file you find the line # Protocol 2,1 Change it to Protocol 1,2 Then your client will try ssh protocol version 1 first. I think nowadays everybody should change to version 2, but it's a little bit more complicated.
