Hardening SuSE 9

      Hi ,

I am new to Linux  and am trying to implement SNORT on SuSE linux 9 with 
MYSQL , APACHE + PHP and NTOP. I have few questions :

- I am looking at securing the box and  trying to find some hardening 
scripts for the same could someone help me .

- secondly,  should I harden the box before installing SNORT and the rest of 
the apps or after?
