It depends. KDE or GNOME?
Right now: text console, later: fvmw2. ;-) That's what the future user of
the laptop is used to. 

Thanks for your answer though. Just a matter of time until the next laptop
has to be setup for someone prefering KDE or GNOME. powersave -U is what I
use right now.
