Hi! with SuSE 7.3 postfix.rc.config configuration doesn't do anymore what is expected. Setting POSTFIX_RELAYHOST="smtp.btx.dtag.de" and leaving POSTFIX_LOCALDOMAINS="" empty creates a configuration where even local mail will be delivered using the relayhost: Oct 23 13:03:58 xcnlm03s postfix/pickup[3508]: 374FD3EE01: uid=0 from=<root> Oct 23 13:03:58 xcnlm03s postfix/cleanup[3769]: 374FD3EE01: message-id=<20011023110358.374FD3EE01@xcnlm03s.mm.home.net> Oct 23 13:03:58 xcnlm03s postfix/qmgr[3509]: 374FD3EE01: from=<root@mm.home.net>, size=333, nrcpt=1 (queue active) Oct 23 13:03:58 xcnlm03s postfix/smtp[3771]: 374FD3EE01: to=<root@mm.home.net>, relay=snoopy.nic.home.net[192.168.10.17], delay=0, status=sent (250 Message received: 20011023090054984.AAA306.292@xcnlm03s.mm.home.net) As far as configuration is described I would expect this to deliver mail localy. fqhn: xcnlm03s.mm.home.net relay: snoopy.nic.home.net Setting POSTFIX_LOCALDOMAINS="" to "localhost mm.home.net" will render it working. But this setting should be the default. Or, shall in this case the variable never be defined? -- Thomas
