Hey SUSE folks, are you reading this ??? As the name says, /usr/local typically is a *LOCAL* mount. Stuff like Apache or Samba or the DB2 database are very likely to be used by more people than just the local user(s). They should go into directories that are typical NFS mounts, in particular /var or even better, /opt .
