Hello Olaf, I installed the recommended update to openssh 3.3 on my suse 7.3 but now I can't login any more. I have the user sshd with dir /var/empty, uid 71, gid 100 and shell /bin/false in my /etc/passwd All I get is the error described by Markus Gaugusch ("Failed password for <username> from <ip> port ... ssh2") Hacking around with different gids of the user "sshd" didn't change anything nor did disabling PrivilegeSeparation ... mfg ;-) Christoph Illnar GlobalAce.net Internetservice GmbH * WorldStore eCommerce www.globalace.net www.worldstore.at www.schatzmail.com
