Hi, please find my comments below!
I have a problem with Firewall 2 in Suse:
1. When i start the Firewall 2, other computers in the network can connect to the internet via ip masquerading, but the computer where the firewall runs, has no access to the internet !
That's quite strange!. Are you sure that your resolver works correctly? try to ping www.suse.de for example. If this won't work, you have a problem with your dns-lookups on the firewall.
2. How is it possible to do not start personal-firewall at boot, because i think when i use firewall 2, it is not necessary to run personal-firewall ???
you are absolutly right. It is not necessary to run personal-firewall when you use SuSEfirewall2. I recognized that the system complaints about a "not activated personal firewall". For me it was not really a problem, because this was just a kind of information. Nevertheless, I don't like my system telling me stupid things, therefore I removed personal-firewall completely from my set-up with the following command: rpm -e personal-firewall-1.0-43 If you have a different vesion of personal-firewall you can find it out with the following command: rpm -qa | grep personal-firewall Have a nice weekend, Thomas
