FW_LOG_DENY_CRIT="no" FW_LOG_DENY_ALL="no"
Hmm, in my opinion the firewall shouldn't log, you're right. But it's some time ago when I used SuSEfirewall... Anyway you shouldn't worry about these packets, I have them in my logs, too... Maybe Marc Heuse or anybody else who knows the SuSEfirewall package better than me reads this thread and can tell you, why it's being logged ;)

Mostly I'm supriesed to find Log-Entrys wich do not belong to the Subnet for this NIC. I know that with special settings I can read virtualy ALL the network-traffic comming along the NIC, but the Kernel should normaly only "see" valid packets from within the subnet the NIC is asigned to ... And also I'm wondering why the logging works although I set it to "no". Btw, does anyone know where to see what are "critical" Events ? Thank you so far, Franziskus
