Thomas, Actually the behavior that you are reporting is the behavior that is described in the postfix documentation. If no localdomains has been defined then all mail will be relayed if the relayhost has been set.
Yes, but in postfix.rc.config: # # Standard is localhost and my hostname # POSTFIX_LOCALDOMAINS="" Looks like SuSE 7.3 "SuSEconfig" takes this as given: puts an empty localdomain configuration, but should have been replacing an empty "POSTFIX_LOCALDOMAINS" with "localhost" + hosts domain. Since I had some time to test --- changing the above to: # # Standard is localhost and my hostname # #POSTFIX_LOCALDOMAINS="" seems to make SuSEconfig do what is expected. Maybe a simple error in this config file... -- Thomas
