Hi Roland There's nothing wrong with manually making iptables scripts. I'm just a big fan of pretty graphical interfaces! :) I'd hate to have to build big complicated rulesets for firewalls with 4 or 5 interfaces by hand, but some people are happy doing that and may even enjoy it! There seems to be some consensus about this here, which I would like to understand. I'm quite happy dealing with iptables like it is, and I wouldn't want to be unable to read the actual configuration in any case. So what's the point in learning yet another tool?
