- but you'll need to be a bit creative. The machine probably won't boot from any of the pre-packaged boot-floppies, and you may have problems running with any of the prekompiled kernels. What I've had to do when installing on hardware that old is boot from an old SuSE distro floppy (SuSE 6.2 is still sitting on my shelf...) and then run the new yast installation from CD or over the network. Then it's time to reconfigure the kernel for the older type of processor and compile. For specific purposes like that, on that old hardware, I'd probably try for the more specialized distros.
