erm I started downloading from ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/misc/sparc/suse-de-sparc yesterday. Am I right in assuming that the US version is still minus the crypto?
This is correct.
(I currently run the UK version of 6.4 which I was sent by your marketing dept in Germany :)
It should be possible to make the crypto stuff downloadable from ftp.suse.de within rather short time (please give me more than a few days: heads up for glibc+screen security update!). I'm afraid that there are more important things around these busy days...
