Sorry if it sounds stupid but, does ACLs supports reiserfs? If it does it would be necessary to remount with some special options (just like e2fs) ? I've been looking around and I found nothing about it. Could someone send me a link? Thank M. Neubert wrote:

Yes, but I only tested it with XFS.
The file-utilities exist on my box but when I use setfacl this error occurs: "Operation not supported".
Is a kernel patch required? Which filesystems supports acl's?
XFS supports ACLs out of the box in SuSE 8.0.
Anybody could help me?
