Sad but true that there's absolutely no response from SuSE. :-(
Which kernel are you using?
Please check with: rpm -qf /boot/vmlinuz
Ciao, Michael.
Hello, I encountered the same problem: I was creating some useraccounts and out of a sudden useradd starts looping. Since then this happens reproducably even after reboot. Also groupadd behaves the same way. Now I have to create the accounts with vipw! My kernel version: k_athlon-2.4.21-202 Number of users: 600+ I even deleted some unused accounts to check if I hit some magic boundary in number of accounts. The sometimes infamous nscd is not running. Is there any workaround/fix for this? Ciao Roland
