Hi!
I would like to change the Leap and SLE build targets of project 'science' from *:GA to *:Update for Leap 15.0/SLE-15 and later versions/service packs.
This allows packages to be based on new or fixed packages which have been updated after the release.
Are there any objections to this?
question is why this is needed at build time, since the packages in :Update are supposed to be fully backward compatible at runtime at least.
Apart from issues that we have discovered and fixed since. It doesn't happen often and should not happen but I remember cases - especially around building.
Are you sure you do not hide some other issue by that?
Also, new packages are not available in :GA. Cheers, Egbert.
