hi! since the addition of my card id i can login using the radeonhd driver but now and then xorg is crashing with signal 11. i wasn't able to determine when this happens. from my point of view this happens pretty randomly. i've uploaded my logfile to http://media.torpclaw.net/radeonhd/Xorg.0.log.old.txt regards thomas prochaska

Please try a more recent version of our driver, and please also remove the monitor reference from your screen section in the configuration file. Thanks, Luc Verhaegen. Are you certain that it actually crashes? There is nothing in the log that suggests such a thing. Is this a hard lock? Luc Verhaegen. SUSE/Novell X Driver Developer. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
it turned black and the gdm login appeared i'll give it another try Luc Verhaegen writes:

k, sorry. i forgot about my little safety net. because the early hard freezes of avivo i alwasy used a timer to test it, to restart gdm and so on. lets see if the crash happens again. one thing left which seems buggy is the dpi calculation. without the monitor section in xorg.conf the driver calculates to 72 dpi. it should be 96.
