Updated to current git version on 6/27 - More artifacts around active titlebar buttons
Listmates, I updated to the latest git version on archlinux, and I am now experiencing a few more artifacts with the window decorations. Specifically above the active title bar buttons when using emerald decorations with compiz 8.2. The artifacts appear and disappear with the "button glow" and they are just small artifacts the same width as the button itself and positioned just above the button. The artifact is about 1/4 the height of the button. The artifacts are not solid in color, but just small pixelated rectangles with random pixel colors. Probably about 50% saturated. This only occurs with the active window, even though the inactive window has the same "glow" feature. I have tried a number of times to grab a screenshot, and was just able to catch a bit of the problem on this email window. See: http://www.3111skyline.com/download/linux/radeonhd/artifacts-button-glow.jpe... I literally just caught it. It's not the best, but you can see the artifact above the "Maximize" button in the top-right corner of the screenshot. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. Looks like (another) acceleration bug to me. Please verify whether it is
gone with
Option "AccelMethod" "shadowfb"
and report it as a bug.
Though acceleration bugs don't get much love at the moment... :-(

It's probably DFS related. Does: Option "EXANoDownloadFromScreen" fix it? Alex -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org

Mattias, Alex, I will give both suggestions a try later today. I'll have to swap drives in my laptop and put the Archlinux drive back in. I'm still having trouble getting the driver to work on openSuSE. Thanks for your help! -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
