Hello Egbert,
that sounds strange indeed. The board has an onboard DVI connector. The HDMI port is not onboard, Asus ships an extension card (PCIE) with a HDMI port instead. It has dual VGA output support, though, one possibility is DVI & HDMI. Could this be a reason for the two HDMI connectors in the connector table?
It could. Here is what I'm seeing: *Device[CRT1]: Connector: 1 VGA DAC: DACA Other HW DDC0 *Device[TV1]: Connector: 5 SVIDIO DAC: DACA No DDC *Device[DFP2]: Connector: 10 HDMI Type A DAC: NONE Non Multimadia HW DDC2 *Device[CV]: Connector: 14 DVI+DIN DAC: DACA Non Multimadia HW DDC1 *Device[DFP3]: Connector: 10 HDMI Type A DAC: NONE Non Multimadia HW DDC1 The first one is a plain old VGA using DDC0. The second one is clearly SVIDIO, the 4th is Component Video with a DVI+DIN connector (currently I have no idea what that is). the 3rd and 5th are both HDMI different DDC lines. CV and DFP3 seem to share one DDC line which suggests that both are the somehow the same. There are DVI to TV dongles available. Could be that this is ment here. I should ask ATI about it. Since we haven't looked into TVout and Video at all I have ignored this largely.
Here's some specs I found on the Asus website:
Integrated ATI Radeon X1250-based graphics Supports HDMI Technology with HDCP compliant with max. resolution 1920 x 1080p
OK.
Supports YPbPr component TV-out with max. resolutions 1280 x 720p and 1920 x 1080i This would be the 4th connector.
Supports DVI-D with max. resolution 2560x1600 (@ 60Hz)
This could be the HDMI connector as this is DVI-D only (no DAC).
Dual VGA output support: RGB & DVI/HDMI (not on the same connector, though). DVI & HDMI TV-out(YPbPr/AV/S) & DVI/HDMI (Simultaneous output for YPbPr, AV, S, and RGB is not supported)
DVI Interface The interface of this motherboard supports dual VGA output both DVI-D and RGB and is HDCP compliant allowing playback of HD DVD, Blu-ray Disc.
I would interpret the connector table that there is a plain VGA (or a DVI-A port) on the board. I have to admit I have never seem a DVI-A IRL, though.
Accessories HDMI/AV/S/SPDIF module
OK. This board sounds interesting. I should get at least one RS690 board (currently I only have a laptop which doesn't even do DVI). Cheers, Egbert. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org

Hello Egbert, there's definitely an onboard VGA connector next to the DVI connector. I only didn't mention it because I thought it didn't matter. My bad, sorry. If you're interested in this board have a look at the Asus website and search for "M2A-VM HDMI".
