I have a card which is unknown to radeonhd driver: ATI X1650SE It comes with an Acer ASE700-EQ662A system. The card has 1 D-Sub and 1 DVI connector. I have only one monitor which has both D-Sub and DVI interfaces. If the monitor is connected to D-Sub, the driver works fine. But if the monitor is connected on DVI, the driver reports that it cannot detect monitor and refuse to start x. The Xorg log file is attached. And the result of rhd_conntest is as follows: ./rhd_conntest 1:0:0 rhd_conntest: version 0.0.2, built from git branch master, commit dbb073b8.. Checking connectors on 0x7181, 0x174B, 0x5920 (@01:00:00): Load Detection: RHD_OUTPUT_DACA HotPlug: RHD_HPD_0 DDC: RHD_DDC_0 RHD_DDC_1 DDC Line[0]: Slaves: 6e a0 DDC Line[1]: Slaves: a0 Thank you for the great work. You might want to try to remove your monitor first. Unsure whether that
will help, but it is worth a try.

Interestingly, the latest radeon driver from atombios-support branch
works fine on my card with DVI output.

Please provide a full log of a recent driver version with X running with -logverbose 7. Can you also describe where you are connecting your monitor to? The VGA or DVI connector, and if you are using the DVI connector, do you use the VGA to DVI adaptor for it? Thanks, Luc Verhaegen. To give you a quick reply, the card has a VGA and a DVI connector. And
I use a male-to-male DVI cable to connect the card and my monitor.
I'll run X with the suggested verbose log switch when I go home from work.

I tried the latest 0.0.4 driver built from latest code in git. Now the
video can be correctly enabled with DVI connection on my card. The
Xorg.log is attached.
Thank you very much!
