HD 3200 Xv/Textured Video grainy
Hello list, I have a HD3200 integrated in by mainboard (ASUS M4A78-EM). I'm pretty happy with the driver situation as binary drivers aren't needed at all, thanks to you :) I'm using Xv/Textured Video and the picture is grainy/blocky. It's not too bad but there's room for improvement. Using software rendering, e.g. "mplayer -vo x11 -zoom ..." the picture is much better. Is there anything around the corner that will improve the picture? Maybe any patches I can test? We only support bilinear scaling for Xv at the moment. It's not necessarily worse than mplayer's software scaler, but it's certainly different, and some people perceive it to be worse. Not much to be done until someone implements a better shader scaler, unless there's an actual bug.

Nothing at the moment as far as I'm aware. -- Yang Zhao http://yangman.ca -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
