http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=15448 Summary: radeonhd-1.2.0 compiled from source Product: xorg Version: 7.3 Platform: x86-64 (AMD64) OS/Version: Linux (All) Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: medium Component: Driver/radeonhd AssignedTo: lverhaegen@suse.de ReportedBy: dennisveatch@bellsouth.net QAContact: xorg-team@lists.x.org Created an attachment (id=15832) --> (http://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=15832) compile results Apologies for filing here but could not find a choice in the product list to get me closer. Anyway. Just wanted to post a non-fatal things I saw during the compile that you most likely are aware of but in case your not. There were some warnings about atombios.h and warning on some other files about comma at end of enumerator list. And a (EE) RADEONHD(0): AtomBIOS returned 8 Grey Levels in Xorg.0.log. Attached is a compile log of the whole process. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug. _______________________________________________ xorg-team mailing list xorg-team@lists.x.org http://lists.x.org/mailman/listinfo/xorg-team -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org

All AtomBios related code is from ATI, and we don't want to temper with that code so we can just drop in new code versions without applying any patches. The side effect is that there are quite a number of warnings due to unclean code. It also seems to be a common habit in X nowadays, to add excess commas at the end of lists - something not allowed by the C standard. Nevertheless we will probably disable this warning in the future, because behavior not likely to change. The (EE) error is probably indicating a harmless BIOS bug, unless you have some issues related with it. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug. _______________________________________________ xorg-team mailing list xorg-team@lists.x.org http://lists.x.org/mailman/listinfo/xorg-team -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org

Oddly, this is no bug. I just wasn't able to trigger this code myself but I needed to know the result. Marking it an error will cause users to complain providing me with the necessary feedback ;) -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.freedesktop.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the QA contact for the bug. _______________________________________________ xorg-team mailing list xorg-team@lists.x.org http://lists.x.org/mailman/listinfo/xorg-team -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
