Just thinking about it again: maybe you want to try a full rebuild of the latest git pieces first. make distclean; ./autogen.sh; make; may already help. We had soft lockup problems which got fixed by that before. Cheers, Egbert. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org

Hi! I have a RS690 (Xpress 1250) and have no problem with radeonhd driver. I'm using the latest git version and it works really well! regards, Antoine On Sun, 2008-02-24 at 18:06 +0100, Néstor Amigo Cairo wrote:

Same here. I've got an RS690 on a HP Compaq 6715b and I track the head, and have no problems. The ati driver isn't very stable and doesn't perform well for me, however. -- Coleman Kane

Please open a bug report for that, doesn't seem to be trivial.
In the meantime Option "AccelMethod" "ShadowFB" is your friend.

Please confirm that you've run autogen.sh properly and then make cleaned the tree, and then made it again, while installing the binary in the proper location. Please verify that switching to ShadowFB fixes your problem. Please also test whether you can log in remotely when using XAA. Thanks, Luc Verhaegen.
