sax2 versagt mit der Radeon HD 4870
Hallo Herr Schaefer, bei der Installation von openSuSE 11.2 mit der Radeon HD 4870 versagte der X-Server, d.h. er blieb im Textmodus. Mit 'sax2 -r' startete auch kein X-Server. (II) LoadModule: "fglrx" (WW) Warning, couldn't open module fglrx (WW) Falling back to old probe method for fbdev Ich bitte Sie , dafuer zu sorgen, dass wenigstens ein Fehlerhinweis erscheint und ein standard-vga-basierter xserver gestartet wird, damit der User eine Chance hat. Aehnliches gilt fuer den nv-treiber. Um den 1600-er Modus zu aktivieren, musste ich ebenfalls den Original nvidia-treiber holen, fuer den es ja schon das komfortable yast-Repository zum einbinden der Nvidia-Quellen gibt. Ich vermisse auch als aelterer DDR-Burger die Moglichkeit, in deutscher Sprache http://de.opensuse.org/Fehler_berichten weil dort steht: Fehlerberichte müssen in englischer Sprache verfasst werden ..
