Hi Jens, Jens Lody writes:
Hello,
the newest Patch (Call RHDMonitorInit() even if there is no DDC for the Connector.) makes the driver find my monitor, and it seems it finds the right timings (at least the timings are the same I get via "get-edid | parse-edid") but the screen remains blank. Sometimes when I switch back to console, the console is flickering, no matter if I use the vesa-framebuffer or a "pure" console.
So apart from this the driver seems to be working for you? Sounds good! Cheers, Egbert. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello Egbert, as I wrote about 5 hours ago the driver works for me now. The flickering-problem is still there, but switching back to X and then again to the console works in the most times. Suspend to disk works without problems, suspend to ram does not. After STR the console is black and X is messed up, looks a little like a crt-monitor that does not synchronize. But when I do a blind suspend to disk then (from blank console), the driver gets correctly initialized after restart and everything works fine. Egbert Eich schrieb:

We have almost identical laptops with identical cards. Could I see you xorg.conf and any other data so I can verify if it works on my machine? So far I have not been able to boot into X with radeonhd. On Sunday 07 October 2007 15:27:29 Jens Lody wrote:
