Hi i'm running openSuse 11.2 with two Monitors connected at a Radeon X1300 (RV515). One is connected with HDMI cable and the other with VGA. The Monitor with digital input don't makes any Problems, but the analog connected Monitor is not detected and always dark. But when i use Option "HPD" "swap" then the analog connected Monitor gets input (but the digital connected not) Only when i set Option "HPD" "off" i could use both Monitors. On your wiki you wrote that this should be reported and so i do it now. Attached you can find the Xorg.0.log file. Section "Device" BoardName "Radeon X1300/X1550" Driver "radeonhd" Identifier "Device[0]" Option "monitor-DVI-I_1/digital" "Monitor[0]" Option "monitor-DVI-I_2/analog" "Monitor[1]" VendorName "ATI" Option "HPD" "off" EndSection hope this helps you to improve the radeon drier. best regards L.Riemann The information included in this e-mail and any files transmitted with it is strictly confidential and may be privileged or otherwise protected from disclosure. So this card has an HDMI port and an VGA port, right? Does it have a TV output? What's the exact name of the card?
(II) RADEONHD(0): Connector[0] {RHD_CONNECTOR_DVI, "DVI-I DFP3 CRT1", RHD_DDC_0, RHD_HPD_NONE /*1*/, { RHD_OUTPUT_LVTMA, RHD_OUTPUT_DACA } } (II) RADEONHD(0): Connector[1] {RHD_CONNECTOR_TV, "SVIDEO TV1", RHD_DDC_NONE, RHD_HPD_NONE, { RHD_OUTPUT_DACB, RHD_OUTPUT_NONE } } (II) RADEONHD(0): Connector[2] {RHD_CONNECTOR_DVI, "DVI-I DFP1 CRT2", RHD_DDC_1, RHD_HPD_NONE /*0*/, { RHD_OUTPUT_TMDSA, RHD_OUTPUT_DACB } }
This table is utterly broken, it assumes two DVI-I outputs, not one DVI-D/HDMI and one VGA. You can be happy that you actually get any output at all :-]
(II) RADEONHD(0): Output DVI-I_1/digital connected (II) RADEONHD(0): Output DVI-I_2/analog connected
So correct would be
Connector[0] {RHD_CONNECTOR_DVI, "HDMI", RHD_DDC_0, RHD_HPD_1, { RHD_OUTPUT_LVTMA, RHD_OUTPUT_NONE } }
Connector[1] {RHD_CONNECTOR_TV, "SVIDEO TV1", RHD_DDC_NONE, RHD_HPD_NONE, { RHD_OUTPUT_DACB, RHD_OUTPUT_NONE } }
Connector[2] {RHD_CONNECTOR_VGA, "CRT2", RHD_DDC_1, RHD_HPD_NONE, { RHD_OUTPUT_DACB, RHD_OUTPUT_NONE } }
