Radeonhd still results in black screen for RS690M
Matthias, Yang, all. The autogen/configure problem seems to be fixed and I can again build the radeonhd driver without any problems. However, the new driver code will not run on my RS690M. Given the autogen problem we encountered in the middle of troubleshooting this problem, I am not sure what test I should try next to help diagnose what killed the driver for this card. What to you suggest? I would really like to keep making progress on the heat/power-down issue. (remember, just tell me what and *how* to pull the code you want me to test with git and I'm happy to test:-) -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E. Sure :-)
It's not too difficult. Copy the configure.ac from git master to a save
location. Then start the bisecting process.
Whenever you have to compile a version, first copy the saved
configure.ac to the source directory, then autogen.sh, make, make
install.
Before you state the outcome with 'git bisect good' or 'git bisect bad'
do a 'git checkout configure.ac' to remove the changed configure.ac.
That is not strictly necessary, but should help to reduce possible
checkout issues.
Otherwise, the process should be the same as already described.
If you're having issues with this description, tell me and I'll show you
the process in detail.
