Hi, I tested two VGA monitors. Both get detected and initialized correctly, but xorg-server 1.4 bails out in the end because they don't support reduced blanking. Log for a HP F1723 : see http://home.tiscali.nl/rladan/radeonhd/xorg-hp-f1723.log Log for a Philips Brilliance 109P2 : see attachment Should I add an option to xorg.conf ? The manual page is silent about this. Regards, Rene -- GPG fingerprint = E738 5471 D185 7013 0EE0 4FC8 3C1D 6F83 12E1 84F6 (subkeys.pgp.net) "It won't fit on the line." -- me, 2001

Should I add an option to xorg.conf ? The manual page is silent about this.

The driver only sets a single mode for both CRTCs. Modes for the panel are not compatible with modes for your CRT. If you really need your CRT, then use Option "IgnoreConnector" "<connectorname>" Luc Verhaegen.
