Is it possible to make port of RadeonHD to Syllable? We need new video driver, but now we haven't time and developers to do it, man which updated video driver for Syllable away :( I suspect that it not so hard, but I'm not programmer and can't do it personally. If anyone can help our project we will be very pleaesed! http://syllable.org -- С уважением, Rohan mailto:admin@syllable.org.ru -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org

It's certainly possible, but you should rather ask in Syllable's
community. Nobody of the main developers of radeonhd has any clue about
Syllable. Heck, I still don't completely understand after a short visit
on the web page whether it's a completely new OS, based on Linux or some
BSD, or just a different windowing system.

It looks to me (from reading the site) that Syllable is based upon some graphical layer that runs in DirectFB and uses SDL. They should be able to use the vesa driver from the kernel. -- Coleman Kane -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org

Reading the About Syllable section of the documentation, I found this info: Syllable Desktop is a fork of AtheOS, an AmigaOS clone written from scratch. The OP's request is probably about this one. Syllable Server is effectively a Linux distro. Sebastian Redl -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
