0x954F:0x1043:0x02A8: Asus ATI Radeon HD 4350
Hello! I found this email address in my xorg.log, saying: --- (II) RADEONHD(0): Card not in database: 0x954F:0x1043:0x02A8; using generic modesetting. If - and only if - your card does not work or does not work optimally please contact radeonhd@opensuse.org to help rectify this. Use the subject: 0x954F:0x1043:0x02A8: <name of board> and *please* describe the problems you are seeing in your message. --- I have some troubles with the "radeonhd" driver and this gfx card: Asus ATI Radeon HD 4350 512MB (RV710) pci id “1002:954f” Basically mostly everything is working correctly, except one issue: I cannot set full resolution on one of the screens. I have a TV and a 22" monitor connected to the card. The monitors native resolution is 1680x1050 but when I try to set it, i cant get a stable image from it, it is full of tearing lines. These tearing lines show up when I either change resolution using Gnome Display Preferences, or xrandr directly like this: xrandr --output DVI-I_2/digital --mode 1680x1050 Currently i can work around the issue by using 1280x1024 resolution instead for this monitor. Attached is output from "xrandr -q" and Xorg.log Best regards Martin Lindhe
