Hi,
accting upon:
(II) RADEONHD(0): Unknown card detected: 0x791E:0x1043:0x8287.
If - and only if - your card does not work or does not work optimally
please contact radeonhd@opensuse.org to help rectify this.
Use the subject: 0x791E:0x1043:0x8287: <name of board>
and *please* describe the problems you are seeing
in your message.
All static parts of the image are ok. However, once changes occur (keyboard
input written out, adding icons to KDE's trays due to programs starting up,
clock changes) the affected part of the screen are striped with black or
white horizontal bars. The effect is most visible in konsole: When I press
the up key to get to the last command line, it takes up to 3 seconds until
the command is completely visible. However, you can already read it, because
it is uncovered stripe by stripe.
The Modelines listed in the Xorg.0.log do match those reported on my other box
and work nicely there.
The system is installed with Kubuntu Hardy Heron, completely updated.
The driver was built from git source:
commit 1eff3e783bf6cab33dad837ec0c4edc07d967f7c
Author: Egbert Eich

I assume this is related to a known issue - we don't know how to program
the watermark registers correctly - we could probably figure that out by
trial and error, but don't have the time for that right now...

The problem is solved already by Egbert Eich. He asked me in a private mail to add Option "UnverifiedFeatures" "on", which let all display oddities disappear. Oh, ok, then no watermark issue :) Lucky you.

Do you mean "on" or "off" in this case? Alex -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
