0x95C0:0x1028:0x3243: Radeon HD 3470
Hello, I've got a Dell Optiplex 960 with an ATI Technologies Inc Mobility Radeon HD 3470 (PCI ID 1002:95c0) graphics card using chipset RV620. I'm using RadeonHD version 1.2.5 built from git commit 4be5f715 on Debian Testing. This problem also occurs with debian package xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd. X fails to start with: <snip> (EE) RADEONHD(0): Card information has invalid connector information (II) RADEONHD(0): I2C bus "RHD I2C line 0" removed. (II) RADEONHD(0): I2C bus "RHD I2C line 1" removed. (II) RADEONHD(0): I2C bus "RHD I2C line 2" removed. (II) RADEONHD(0): I2C bus "RHD I2C line 3" removed. (II) UnloadModule: "radeonhd" (EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration. Fatal server error: no screens found </snip> My xorg.conf and log are attached. This occurs whether or not HPD is set to off. Thanks -Meg Richards

Eeek.
Please run 'X -logverbose 7', and attach your xorg.conf, and the
resulting Xorg.0.log to a bug report. Then run the conntest utility as
described in the README.
It seems that your card has either a completely broken connector table,
or one in a form we don't understand yet, or it triggers an
"interesting" new bug in the code.

We need conntest run once per output with a single monitor attached on
each run - as described in the README for conntest.
Also, I forgot to mention that we would need the BIOS (also described in
the README).
Note that at the moment nobody is really maintaining the connector
quirks table - it might need some time, especially as your issue
indicates that we're parsing something wrong. You might get a quick fix,
though.

Are the connectors displayport? displayport isn't supported yet. Alex -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
