Hi
SEan Strand: Manuel, I think you have enough to start looking at the code and finding out how it works the odd error. And you could even offer an option as to if it would be better to complete a section of code your way or my way. Now if my way doesn't even compile then you would be on a winning streak so as to speak. So please feel free to try, then submit it and see what the MASTERS say. I don't think they will bite too hard. As for my code I am still trying to understand some of the logic!
Ok, thanks for the information. When they not bite to hard may I send some code. ;-)
Matthias Hop: Best would be to look at the code to get a broad overview (how subsystems are separated, utility functions, etc.). Then check the bugs on bugs.freedesktop.org, and http://www.x.org/wiki/radeonhd%3ATODO . Maybe you have some ideas to add there yourself.
Thanks for the links. I will check out the code and look where I can help to get a start point.
Matthias Hop: For the beginning you best work in your own git repo (learning git would be an important step) and publish patches here, either for review, or for inclusion (just state what you want). If you have any questions, this list is the right place to ask.
Ok, thats fine. Now I have a reason to see how git is working. *g* Thanks for the information.
yoshi watanabe: there is also a very useful article somewhere on freedesktop.org wiki about various terms related to video graphics, which is pretty much a must-read in order to get started. i think it's here: http://www.x.org/wiki/Development/Documentation/HowVideoCardsWork
and here : http://www.x.org/wiki/Development
Thanks a lot for the links! They are very useful. Kind regards Manuel -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
