L.S., I have installed the radeonhd driver, version 1.2, as provided by the Debian package xserver-xorg-video-radeonhd_1.2.0-1_i386.deb It identifies itself as: (II) RADEONHD: version 1.2.0, built from dist of git branch master, commit 9d131f90 (--) Chipset RV630 found Most things work very well. However, when showing the "Superquadrics" screensaver from the xscreensaver-gl_5.05-1_i386.deb package using the Gnome 2.22.1 dialoge from System>Preferences>Screensaver in full screen preview mode, then there are sometimes incorrect triangles around some sharp edges of the rotating objects. Since the displayed objects are random, I cannot give an exact scenario to produce this. Whenever I start it in full screen mode, I see it the triangles within a minute. To check for a regression, I have temporarily reinstalled version 1.1 of the driver, and there the effect is also present but smaller and less frequent. I hope this helps to make radeonhd a perfect driver. -- Regards, ---------------------------------------------------------------- -o) Matthijs Melchior Maarssen /\\ mmelchior@xs4all.nl Netherlands _\_v ---------------------------------------------------------------- ---- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: radeonhd+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: radeonhd+help@opensuse.org
