Cannot get radeonhd driver working on my computer, which has 64-bit Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10. However, it works with ATI's proprietary driver that loads a kernel object module. Here is the x output log file
I am also getting an error about cannot retrieve EDID, get-edid is not installed. This error is a bogus on the amd platform, since read-edid works only on Intel & PPC platforms.
Please use utils/conntest/rhd_conntest

This doesn't look like the full log but rather like the dump to stderr. Please provide /var/log/Xorg.0.log. BTW: what version are you running? If this is below 1.1.0 you should probably upgrade from GIT first and test again.
