[opensuse-python] Deleting the :misc project
Hi all, the :misc subproject was created as temporary holder for packages that people didn't integrate in openSUSE yet were in d:l:py with intention of them being easy picking for reintroduction. It is over 18 months now and there were no updates in the repository itself we get to a time where it is probably be better to start with py2pack from scratch. I will remove the project as a whole during next week unless someone raises some good reason why it should be still kept around and consume OBS resources. Cheers Tom
Hi Tomas,
I will remove the project as a whole during next week unless someone raises some good reason why it should be still kept around and consume OBS resources.
Can you please give me some time before you drop randomly stuff to check that it will not affect us? Thanks for the advance notice, I"ll review state over the next few days. I know a few months ago we were relying on it. Greetings, Dirk -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-python+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-python+owner@opensuse.org

Sure can wait. :) If it is just linked it is just a case of breaking the linking so that should not be a biggie. The packages there were never published, just built to make it compfy when deciding whether to copypac something or better start from scratch. Just either poke me here, or go ahead and kill it yourself when you verified it ain't used anymore. Cheers Tom

Could we start with disabling the builds and wipe the binaries so the sources are still there? That way if needed packages could still be copied/SRed to dlp.
