any chance that we get python311-kivy for Leap 15.5?
I am not sure about policies for inclusion of new packages to Leap, but would you have a project building it? How many packages it would pull in?
Is it clear if it needs a new package ?
From my POV it might only need an update in openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15-SP5:Update/python-Kivy to 2.3 ?
Correct, same as for 15.6
But we would be open to take packages, if that is the problem.
Hello Matej
kivy builds for Leap 15.6, but not for 15.5 at the moment. If we want to offer an upgrade to myGNUHealth >= 2.0 for Leap 15.5 users, we would need a working kivy for it. in https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/Application:ERP:GNUHealth:4.4/python... it fails to build for 15.5, in d:l:p the 15.5 build is disabled
Is it clear what the root cause of the build issue is already?
From a quick lock at the failing build log my *assumption* is that the SDL2 deps might be to old in openSUSE:Backports:SLE-15-SP5 (specifically SDL2_ttf):
This is very likely, as this was the case for 15.6 as well. not sure who fixed it there... @Lubos - do yo know? Cheers Axel
