mypy and the typeshed -> types-* split
Dear fellows, Previously, mypy included the typeshed "package" containing type stubs for various common packages. Mypy version 0.900 changed this: http://mypy-lang.blogspot.com/2021/06/mypy-0900-released.html Now, the type stubs are distributed over a bunch of separate packages, e.g. https://pypi.org/project/types-toml/ But that's not the only package, there is a whole long list of them: https://github.com/asottile/types-all/blob/62586e9ddfb97e95d8552b0f1fb6852a8... mypy, including it's package check, can't function without them. Otherwise you get 'Library stubs not installed for "toml"' etc. See https://build.opensuse.org/package/live_build_log/devel:languages:python/myp... My question now is: Do we want to package all these types separately? If yes, can we automate it? Doing that manually (including the updates) would be a pain. best regards Sebastian
