How to deal with
%python3_alternative %{_bindir}/foo.py ?
sed -e 's/python3/python/' Usually, whenever you see a macro starting with %python3, it is most likely a mistake. https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Packaging_Python#update-alternatives is pretty good description of what should be done (comments and improvements are welcome, it is a wiki!). Also, https://github.com/openSUSE/python-rpm-macros/blob/master/README.md is actually pretty good documentation (I am not an author, so I can say that).
