Hello, i'm trying to set up a suse-firewal with the ftp-proxy on it (or on the ftp-server behind) to be able to limit the open ports via the Min/MaxPort settings to a range of 50. I'm running proftp as ftp-server. Now my problem is this: the login into the server works just fine. I can even do 'cd's an 'rm's, but as soon as i do a 'ls' or things that need to have a data channel opened i get no connection to it. So i tried - to exclude the possibility that the firewall is blocking something - to do a local connect to the proxy. But the thing didn't work either. Any suggestions ? Thank you for your help ! Tobias
Think it was a problem with the standard terminal-ftp-client. It works with xmftp.... Strange world.. ;-) bye
