Hi,
It seems that "HAVE_REGEX" doesn't turn on automatically on my SuSE 6.2 system.
Moreover, if you don't have regex, it doesnt' compile..... (One more patch to follow, but I'm going to actually TRY that one before submitting it... )

Yes, there is a bug in the source (I did not try to configure without REGEX; sorry, my fault). I have changed it in the source code already, and the patch goes like this: -------------------------- start patch -------------------------- Index: ftp-cmds.c =================================================================== RCS file: /space/CVS/PROXY-SUITE/ftp-proxy/ftp-cmds.c,v retrieving revision 1.7 diff -c -r1.7 ftp-cmds.c *** ftp-cmds.c 1999/10/19 10:19:15 1.7 --- ftp-cmds.c 1999/12/11 11:50:58 *************** *** 370,375 **** --- 370,376 ---- */ client_reinit(); + #if defined(HAVE_REGEX) /* ** Check for a RegEx constraint on the USER command */ *************** *** 391,396 **** --- 392,398 ---- } break; } + #endif /* ** Check for permission and existence of "magic" -------------------------- stop patch -------------------------- This is actually a little bit more that Rogier has suggested, because the whole block is not needed without REGEX. Thanks to Rogier anyway.
