[opensuse-project] Google Code in - task complete
Hi, As part of the Google Code-in effort Subhashish signed up to take a look at a task that originated from our "What to improve session" at oSc11. Subhashish concentrated on Wiki navigation and search. His proposal can be found here: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:What_to_improve_osc11_session_-_Problem_Deta... This page is also linked from the session notes found here: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:What_to_improve_osc11_session Subhashish thanks for taking this on, for your proposal, and a job well done. Wiki team members, It would be great if changes based on this proposal could be implemented to improve navigation and search. We most certainly will discuss them :-) I wish you would have talked to us before adding this task. There have been a lot of discussions about search and navigation already... Well, it's not like the topics haven't been on the "what to improve list" since the end of OSc, anyone could have added status/discussion updates to the wiki to let people know that something is happening. In addition, the Google Code-In list was very well publicized. Anyone was free to add tasks, subtract tasks, comment, and add themselves as a mentor. Sure, but creating and following lists is not how every team works. Anyway, I'll bring up the idea with all portals on he frontpage up on our list, because I like it :) Thanks Henne -- Henne Vogelsang, openSUSE http://www.hennevogel.de Everybody has a plan, until they get hit. - Mike Tyson -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

Wiki team members,
It would be great if changes based on this proposal could be implemented to improve navigation and search.
I changed the search link in the bento navigation to http://software.opensuse.org/search Greetings -- Thomas Schmidt (tom [at] opensuse.org) openSUSE Boosters Team "Don't Panic", Douglas Adams (11.03.1952 - 11.05.2001) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, email: opensuse-project+owner@opensuse.org

Cool, thanks. I added a note to http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:What_to_improve_osc11_session_-_Problem_Deta... indicating that this was changed.
