Adding the openSUSE Wiki to kiwix.org
Hello everyone, I have noticed that the kiwix project has a couple of linux distro related wikis available, although not openSUSE. Kiwix is basically an offline reader project that allows users to download a variety of helpful resources, like the entirety of wikipedia, project Gutenberg etc for use in offline scenarios/regions with limited internet access. I feel like trying to add the openSUSE wiki to that list of downloadable resources might be a useful thing and also raise awareness for the distro. How do people here feel about it? I could try contacting them to ask about the requirements for that, although I'm just a regular user and providing the downloadable file of the wiki will presumably have to be done by someone with server side access to the wiki. Kind regards,

You can use youzim.it to create your own zim file from doc.opensuse.org. Use the the single page HTML. Regards, Ish Sookun
Thanks for the suggestion! I also contacted the kiwix team by now and it turns out they have their own tool for creating the needed zim files for kiwix. So I made a request for the docs page and another one for the wiki and we will see how it goes. :-) On October 17, 2022 9:38:07 PM GMT+02:00, Ish Sookun <ish@sysadmin-journal.com> wrote:
