Hi,
Your openSUSE board is happy to announce the Board Activities page,
found here:
https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Board_Activities
This page will be used to track board activities at a high level to
allow the community to gain insight into the activities of the board.
Thank you for this, it is good to increase transparency as it'll help us
all with the decisions for the next voting round ;-)
Just a word of caution: as Robert mentioned, this tracks board
activities at a high level. It doesn't track all activities, nor does it
give details about subtasks which might be worked on by more than one
person.
To make it clear: the fact that a board member doesn't appear on that
page doesn't mean that board member isn't working.
If you want to make an informed vote during the next elections, it's
really simple: ask each person who was already on the board what they
have been doing on the board.
I'd simply like to rely on multiple sources of information - besides what the
(potential) member would claim to have done it'd be nice to see if they were
present at meetings, what openSUSE projects/actions they're involved in, etc
etc etc.
In the end, this is just another data point with all the limitations that come
with it. I realize full well that not all people are equally good at writing
down what they do or promoting themselves ;-)
