I personally have not seen any recent announcements or reminders of the membership application deadline, the "nomination" deadline, or this "Meet Your Candidates" on the Forums nor the openSUSE News. Have I missed them somehow? I'd guess the forums use the RSS feed - and unfortunately the news.o.o RSS feed is broken since about two weeks. The problem is "just" some leading whitespace, but that's enough to make it invalid XML. This is a known issue that happens on every wordpress update and needs a manual fix in the PHP code.
