[opensuse-project] membership
Hello,
Question: is it just the university spam filter, or people really don't
get an e-mail, when their membership application is accepted? I was
surprised to find this morning, that I'm a member by browsing the member
list :-) I wasn't there a couple of weeks ago...
The wiki mentions, that users get an e-mail address, but has no mention
how it goes. My address does not seem to exist yet:
roxen# telnet mx1.suse.de 25

Connected to mx1.suse.de.
Escape character is '^]'.

For those that have been approved the last few weeks - you might have been approved before that-, I send out an email once the board approves. Mailsetup and IRC setup takes a bit longer unfortunately right now. :-( Sorry, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Director Platform/openSUSE, aj@suse.de SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

FWIW, I never received an email about my application being accepted (which could also means it got caught in spam filters, of course, or that I gave a bad email address). I found out about this on the website by accident, so it wasn't a big deal...
